A very cool Purple and Green Scarf

This is my second time working with 2 colours. I think this turned out very well!! I bought a Knit Pattern calendar and it had this houndstooth pattern on it. The scarf is knitted with green and purple in a houndstooth pattern. The yarn is Merino Frappe by Crystal Palace. It is 80% extra fine merino and 20% nylon. The second picture is of the back.

Reddish socks for me!

These socks I made for myself. Though I have so much yarn left over that I could probably knit another 2 pairs at least. The yarn is pretty cool but a bit thin. It is made in Turkey and it is called Supersocke 100 Sierra colour. 75% Superwash wool and 25% polyamid. http://www.online-garne.de

Turtle!!

I knitted this little guy during July of 2007. I still have yet to put a face on him or curve his flippers. He is filled with polly fill. The yarn is cotton. The pattern came from the book World of Knitted Toys by Kath Dalmeny.

Cool arm things!

I knitted these for...you guessed it...my mom! I unfortunately knitted them a little big so I decided to use ribbon to tighten them near the elbow. They are pretty cool just wish they were a bit smaller. I made some more which I will take pictures of and post eventually. As you can tell they are basically sleeves with button holes for the thumb. At the elbow and on the hand they are supposed to be a bit rolled but the yarn was weird.

Red socks for my grandma...

I knitted these cool red socks for my grandma for her birthday May of 2007.

Mix-matched socks for me!

This is the first pair of socks I knitted for myself but still have yet to wear them. I bought the acrylic yarn (same brand as the acrylic yarn for my mom's socks a couple of posts back) awhile back and it took me awhile to make the songs. At the time I had only bought one skein. When I finally knitted them I realised that I needed 2 skeins especially since I knitted them at the same time with 2 sets of double pointed needles. They are the exact colour label but different colour lots. So..this is the reason why they advise that you buy yarn at the same time or the same colour lot! Though...I think they are pretty cool hehehe.

A hat I made for a friend

I think I made this hat in 2005 for a friend. She said she loves it and still wears it a lot.

Yet another scarf for my mom!

I think I made this in 2006 or 2005 sometime. It was made with a cool yarn called Watercolour. I can't remember the brand name but once I find out this will be updated.

Another scarf for my mom Dec 06 - Jan 07

A couple of years ago I asked my mom to buy some knitting supplies for me at Village Wools (a local knitting store that I buy most of my stuff at) and along with what I asked her to buy she bought a sock measurer thing and an odd kind of yarn that she wanted me to make socks out of. I sat on these for a couple of years because at the time I was not ready to make socks yet and once I started making socks I realised that the yarn wasn't suitable for socks. So...instead I made her a scarf. It turned out to be very long because I used the whole skein.

Black hat December 2006

I think I made this hat for my brother. It was made with 100% bulky wool by Brown Sheep Company.

Red scarf for my Grandma Dec 2006

This bright red scarf was made for my grandma last year for Christmas. It was made with a red Brown Sheep company cotton fleece and a novelty yarn that I will update later.

Mittens and scarf Christmas 2004

I made these mittens for my Aunt's sons back in 2004. I also made the scarf for my aunt who loves hearts and red. I never heard if she ever got them or liked them. I kept on meaning to ask but it would have been nice if she let me know. I have not talked to her since. She lives in Maryland. The mittens were made with 100% worsted Brown Sheep company wool. I made the scarf with a white Brown Sheep Company cotton fleece and a nolvtey yarn that I will update here later.

Legwarmers

These legwarmers were made for my mom last year (2006) possibly for her birthday or the winter They ended up being pretty tight. If I make more they will definitely be looser. These were made with 100% worsted Brown Sheep Company wool.

First pair of socks for my mom...

This was made with self stripping acrylic yarn bought at Michael's craft store. I think I made them end of February Early March of 2007
